Lessons in Hope

I’m with you - I’m a massive proponent of being open about infertility and pregnancy loss. There ARE people talking about it, but there’s still a large stigma and more and more voices are needed.
I had four pregnancy losses - the first being an ectopic pregnancy (tubal) that requires emergency surgery when it ruptured and I was bleeding into my abdomen. The subsequent three over the course of two years were early miscarriages. We tried, and waited, and hoped, and mostly prayed for a baby, and the Lord gave us our sweet Liam ten months ago. Before I conceived him, we had medical intervention - a surgery to remove the “bad” tube where I had the original ectopic pregnancy. I’ll forever be grateful to my doctor and his wisdom for recognizing this solution.
I have most of our journey chronicled on a blog - whenhopehurts.wordpress.com - where I shared our story as well as what God was teaching us through it all. I wrote it with the hopes of it helping someone going through a similar struggle.
Thanks for your openness, friend, and helping raise awareness and beat the stigma. So thrilled for baby B to come soon.
