Bonafide Provisions Bone Broth
Along with collagen becoming wildly popular is bone broth. This has become one of my fave go to’s to get me through an afternoon slump. Especially as the weather is getting colder. Its like drinking a nourishing tea that leaves you satiated for hours. But first: Let’s go through the WHAT AND WHY behind bone broth:
Simmering bones for long periods of time allows for the collagen, protein, glucosamine (tissue fond in joints to cushion bones), chondroitin (occurs naturally in connective tissues) and mineral to be released and creates a gel-like broth.
All of these things support:
a healthy immune system: collagen repairs and supports you gut lining which is the home of 70% of our immune system. I had no idea!
Joint health: strengthens and rebuilds connective tissue and reduces inflammation
Skin, hair and nails: Did you know that collagen is the most abundant protein in the body? After we turn 25 we begin to naturally lose our collagen so adding it to our foods is a plus for healthy hair, skin and nails.
Brain function: Healthy fats and gut support help aid a high functioning brain
I trust because they make sure each batch gels perfectly giving you all the best nutrients you need. Bonafide Provisions only uses grass-fed and pastor raised bones without any added stock and USDA Organic ingredients.
