EWG Verified
This week I am highlighting another third party certification you can trust. The EWG Verified mark makes sure you are bringing only the safest products into your home. The Environmental Working Group is a non profit who’s mission is to “empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment…” through research and education. The EWG has a comprehensive database that rates personal care products 1-10 and household products A-F. You can easily scan/search products using their Healthy Living App or you can simply google “Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer EWG” and the first link will be the rating.
Products that are EWG Verified follow these strict standards:
They don’t have any of EWG’s chemicals of concern (thousands of ingredients). This includes ingredients with health or contamination concerns.
They must disclose all ingredients and demonstrate full transparency
They use good manufacturing practices in creating products.
With over three decades of research paired with their toxicologists, chemists and epidemiologists, the EWG Verified mark is one you can trust. An easy way to take advantage of this mark is to type in a product in the app the first options will all be EWG Verified. You can also go HERE and use the menu tab on the to filter through the type of products you need and see what comes with the EWG Verified Mark.
