Good for You 4th of July Cocktail

Good for You 4th of July Cocktail

Happy 4th of July!!! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful day of celebration with family and friends. I am here to simply to give you a cocktail recipe that is low in sugar and won't leave you feeling foggy when you have to jump back into work tomorrow. Why you ask? The probiotics and enzymes in Kombucha help add healthy bacteria to your gut, which aids in liver function, key to support while enjoying a cocktail or two. More on this later.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Vodka
  • 6 oz. Homemade Kombucha (If you don't have your own, run to your nearest grocery store for GT's Gingerade Kombucha - it's my fave flavor. Homemade Kombucha tutorial coming soon!)
  • 2 thin slices of ginger root
  • 3 large mint leaves

Muddle mint leaves and ginger root. Shake with vodka. Strain and pour into glass and mix with Kombucha (If you are using this Gingerade flavor you can skip the muddled ginger). Do not shake Kombucha, this will lead to a non firework explosion. Add ice, mix with your stainless steel straw and top with mint leaf. **Pro tip from our neighborhood bartender: always place your straw next to the garnish so that with every sip you get extra notes of mint**
